Lead Generator

AAIM is seeking a confident, determined, and personable acquisition sales professional with a history of success! AAIM has been helping member organizations in the communities we serve for over 125 years.

Our current opening is for a Lead Generator and is responsible for prospecting, researching, qualifying and/or making initial customer contact through various interaction channels such as web, social media, phone and digital tools. This role guides prospects through the sales funnel by providing them with information or answers to inquiries and questions in coordination with marketing channels, programs, and sales campaigns with the primary goal being to communicate and convert contacts to prospects to qualified leads. The Lead Generator is also accountable for building and monitoring a prospect/lead pipeline to ensure continuous population of immediate and long-term opportunities.

Key activities will include:

  • Prospecting and contacting potential customers using phone, email, social media, and in-person meetings
  • Asking questions and understanding the prospect's business and their growth goals
  • Clearly explaining not just the solutions we offer but also what makes our organization special
  • Understanding our prior work with clients to cite examples and use-cases when working with prospects
  • Maintaining and updating a CRM with information about prospects and opportunities
  • Collaborating with our sales leadership to move prospects into the sales process
  • Staying abreast of market trends and technology changes

This position requires:

  • Successful experience prospecting in the business sector
  • Ability to directly engage and build relationships with senior professionals at client organizations
  • A strong focus on results, being self-motivated, flexible and resilient
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills particularly as it relates to pipeline management
  • Experience in data tracking in Salesforce.com or similar CRM
  • Experience in knowledgably educating, consulting and ultimately selling based on customer need
